What is the buzz around Food Tech, and what does it mean?
Food Tech refers to any technology applied in the manner in which we produce, sell, or serve food. However, this is not a new topic. Since the Industrial Revolution and the decline in self-sufficiency, inventors and business leaders have implemented food production technology to help people produce more abundant, better quality food. Nonetheless, it is just really in recent years that revolutionary 'Food Tech' has exploded in its own right as a global market expected to grow over $250.43 billion by 2022.
On August 20th, 2020, The Startup Club proudly hosted the first Food Tech Pitch Night, an initiative led by our Berlin Director Jamal Maxey. This exciting event connected innovative food and beverage startups with dedicated investment funds and advisors.
